modul utbildning 15 hrs SE

The modular CPL / ME / IR program starts with the ME class rating. One and a half day of briefing followed by 6 block hours in the ME aircraft. When the ME class rating is completed the instrument and emergency training begins in the FNPT II simulator. Instrument procedures and different approaches are trained under various conditions before flying the ME aircraft. The multi engine and instrument flying is mixed with commercial manoeuvres in the single engine Cessna 172RG. After the training you will hold a CPL licence with ME & IR rating. SAA offers this modular program in Västerås, Sweden, where we have access to a tower controlled airport with ILS, VOR, NDB and DME navigation systems.

With the use of the FNPT II simulator, SAA increases the training relevance and efficiency at lower cost. The transition into the actual aircraft training becomes very smooth as the simulator is configured as our Beechcraft 76 Duchess multi engine aircraft.

Psychological Aptitude Test
The first step towards a career as a pilot is to successfully complete a psychological aptitude test. This is mandatory prior to enrolling in a pilot program at Scandinavian Aviation Academy. There are four approved testing facilities in Stockholm and one in Switzerland. These companies are specialized in pilot aptitude testing with a long history of airline involvement.

SAA refers to the following test centres:

First Officer Program Interpersona (Stockholm, Sweden)

First Officer Program Gordon Gonsulting (Stockholm, Sweden)

First Officer Program SIAP AB (Stockholm, Sweden)

First Officer Program Flygmedicinskt Centrum, FMC (Lund, Sweden)

First Officer Program Graf Consulting (Bern, Switzerland)

SAA is continuously working with quality goals and flight safety goals to become one of the most well represented FTO’s in Europe. The most powerful tool we have to accomplish that is our safe and well trained pilots. Pilot selection with aptitude test makes us sure that the students will fulfil their training within the frames of our training programs and the best asset is that the student knows that he or she has the right skills and personality to complete the training and work as a commercial pilot. This is an investment in the career as a commercial pilot. The authority demand for tests like this is unfortunately no longer a requirement. However, lots of airline companies have their own psychologists and tests to select their pilots. SAA is proud to announce that our students already have passed a psychology aptitude test and they are trained in an environment very similar to an airline when it comes to standard operating procedures, SOP, and manuals.
