How to apply?

 

Commercial Flight TrainingThere are a number of things that need to be addressed prior to starting your journey towards becoming a professional pilot.

 

Before applying you will need to complete the following:

1. Physics, Mathematics and English
You should have sufficient knowledge in Physics, Mathematics and the English language. Please send in grades from prior schooling.

 

2. Psychological Aptitude Test

The first step towards a career as a pilot is to successfully complete a psychological aptitude test (bring grads from prior education). This is mandatory prior to enrolling in a pilot program at Scandinavian Aviation Academy. There are four approved testing facilities in Sweden and one in Switzerland. These companies are specialized in pilot aptitude testing with a long history of airline involvement.

SAA refers to the following test centers:
First Officer Program Interpersona (Stockholm, Sweden)

First Officer Program Gordon Gonsulting (Stockholm, Sweden)

First Officer Program Flygmedicinskt Centrum FMC (Lund, Sweden)             

First Officer Program SIAP (Stockholm, Sweden)

First Officer Program Graf Consulting (Bern, Switzerland)

  

 

3.  Medical Class 1 Examination
A Medical Examination should be done at a JAR approved Aero Medical Center

First Officer Program Flyg- och Dykmedicinskt Centrum (Sabbatsberg Närsjukhus, Stockholm)

First Officer Program Flygmedicinskt Centrum - FMC (Lund, Sweden)

 

4. Apply for a Student Permit by the Swedish CAA

When the above is completed you are ready to apply to the

Professional Pilot Program by sending in the following documents (at latest 30 days prior course start):
First Officer Program Application for admission form
First Officer Program Copy of Aptitude Test Result
First Officer Program Copy of Medical Class 1 Certificate
First Officer Program Copy of Student Permit
First Officer Program Grade Documents from prior studies

When you are enrolled in the program:
Perform payment of the application fee 15000 SEK

After the application has come in to Scandinavian Aviation Academy and the payment of the application fee has been performed the admissions office will contact you and inform you of your next steps.
