Pilot Open Day 2012

The very popular Pilot Open Days will continue during the spring. This information meeting is an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about pilot training and SAA. We plan to have one Pilot Open Day every month in Västerås, and we will also visit Malmö, Gothenburg, Umeå and Stockholm.

SAA approved for CPL Helicopter training

Scandinavian Aviation Academy has got the approval for CPL helicopter training by the Swedish CAA. SAA has been training commercial pilots for airplanes since 1963 and with our experience, knowledge and quality training we know that we can contribute to the helicopter training as well.

EATS 2011 Prague

The Annual European Airline Training Symposium, EATS was held the 8-9 of November in Prague, Czech Republic. Scandinavian Aviation Academy, SAA, representatives from the European airlines and flight schools were gathered for two days to share experiences and listen to what is new in the industry of aviation training.

SAA graduates are highly desirable on the market

Anna Spirina, Pietro Gugliandolo, Cédric Papahilliou, Kristin Johansson, Johannes Gustavsson and Sebastien Carminati have all finished their flight training with SAA and are now working as First Officers.

SAA students to Nextjet

The regional carrier Nextjet continues to hire pilots. Four students from SAA have just started their Type Rating course at Braathens Training in Stockholm.

OAA takes over the Ryanair application process

From the first of February OAA will take over the application process for pilots applying to Ryanair.

The first 2 SAA Students to Ryanair 2011

Johan Andersson and Thure Thomsen as finished the Professional Pilot Program October 2010 have passed the assessment with Ryanair in Stansted recently. They are the first two SAA students of 2011 as will start their career as Boeing 737 first officers.

The first class of the JAA ATP Integrated program (Professional Pilot Program) 2011 is now fully booked. 16 students from different countries will start their pilot careers the 3rd of January 2011

The low cost carrier Ryanair continues to hire pilots. We are glad to announce that 20 SAA students have been accepted at the Ryanair assessment and started their career as Boeing 737-800 first officers

New Owners

Today SAA changes its owner structure. Thomas Wallén, Michael Sjöö and Olof Bärve are from from today the 1st of October the majority owners of SAA.
